Obama 08!!

I went to see Barack Obama speak a few week ago when he came to Portland. It was totally worth getting up at 4am! He was great. Bill Richardson was there to endorse him so that was an exciting bonus!

Last Saturday I went to the opening of the Portland campaign office. We had over 500 volunteers there before 10am! The guy below is Earl Blumenauer, a representative from Oregon.

Ok...an update

I guess I'm not very good at this whole blog thing. I totally forgot I had it until I saw a link to it on a friends blog.

Let's see what's going on....

Aaron: His Science Olympiad team made it to State again this year so we leave on Friday to Eastern Washington University (near Spokane) for that competition. GO WILDCATS!! This year he is competing in Metric Mastery, Simple Machines, and Ecology.

Logan: He is loving cub scouts (he took 2nd place in the pine wood derby this year) and is excited that his school is taking part in a trial of elementary school science olympiad this spring.

Emma: She is LOVING kindergarten, but is already planning next year. She had a blast playing soccer and is now in swimming. Her goal is to be on the swim team. Only 3 more levels to go!!

Anthony: He is finally walking on both feet again. He recovered well and only aches now and then, but then again he's getting old ya know. He's the 2nd counselor in the young men's presidency and scout master so he will be hiking and camping all summer.

Me: I'm STILL the primary secretary...yep, going on THREE years now. I help out in the kids classroom (well, Logan and Emma's class. They don't let parents hang out in the middle school during school hours) quite a bit. I coach one of the science olympiad events called mystery architecture. Both of my teams placed at regionals...YAY! I'm also one of the team leads, which means I'm in charge of the make up of our two teams and making sure everyone gets to their events when we are at competitions. I've also become very active in the Obama presidential campaign (ok all you republicans you can go ahead an groan now....lol). I was a precinct captain for Washington, and I've just joined up with the Oregon campaign, so I will be phone banking and canvassing for the next few weeks. YES WE CAN!

Ok..now I'll go back and add some pictures from the last few months.
